It feels good back home with my boy and dogs. Although the the temperature has hit  90 degrees, the breeze makes its bearable and made tonights family walk in the hills enjoyable.

We kept the dogs on leashes tonight because of the pronghorns roaming about

I took today as a rest day to recoup from my trip to Salt Lake and in preparation for tomorrow’s first mountain bike cross country race of the season. I have not pedaled my bike in over two weeks, and I have been a much lower altitude for the last ten days. It’s only 9 miles but, with a super techy, burn your lungs uphill. So, I am wing and a prayerin’ it tomorrow. One big sufferfest. Stay tuned for the race recap!

Anyone else do any week night races?

Do you taper or rest for them or use them as training?
